Jennifer started her career as a prosecutor for the Commonwealth Director of Public Prosecutions. In 1997, she made the decision to pursue an area of law which she was deeply interested in - family law. Since then she has practiced extensively in both Sydney and Brisbane.
A decade later, Jennifer founded her own practice in Sydney, where she balanced having three young children of her own as well her ambition to be one of the best female family lawyers in her industry.
After growing the practice in Sydney, Jennifer decided to make the move back to Brisbane, where she established Franklin Family Law in 2017. Although Jennifer currently resides in Brisbane, Franklin Family Law is proud to have a presence in both Brisbane and Sydney, where Jennifer frequently meets clients.
Through the years, Jennifer has worked as an Independent Children’s Lawyer, representing the interests of children in complex parenting matters. She is also a regular volunteer at Women’s Legal Services, providing legal advice to women in family law and domestic violence matters on a pro bono basis.
Jennifer is a brave single mother to three wonderful teenagers and a vivacious spoodle. She is also a keen enthusiast of both boogie boarding and chocolate - though not at the same time!
